Barnes Family Reunion Reunion

The Second Annual Barnes Family Reunion will be held

Saturday, May 20, 2017, between 11 am and 2 pm.
The reunion will be held at the large covered area at the back of
Cub Creek Park
215 E. Henderson Drive, Wilkesboro, 28697

All Barnes are welcome to attend.
Virtually all Barnes in the greater Wilkes area descend from Solomon, Sr. (1742/52-1807) who arrived in 1771 or Irishman Brinsley Barnes (1713-1794) who arrived in Old Wilkes around 1784.
This year we will serve a catered BBQ at $8.50 per serving. T-shirts will also be available.
Orders for both must be placed online on or before May 1.
For ordering information send an email to the above address with a Subject = "reunion info".

The Honorable Roy E. Barnes former Governor of Georgia descends from Brinsley and will be making a video appearance.
Following the reunion, an optional caravan is planned to Lamberts Fork in Alexander County
where Brinsley was awarded a land grant.
The tour will end at Little River Baptist Church where he was a charter member in 1787.
